Dr.  Lorenzo is a native of Matanzas, Cuba. She and her family immigrated to the United States and settled in Miami, where she grew up and lives today. After years of pursuing careers in scientific research and medicine, Dr. Lorenzo sought to grow her lifelong love for art and writing into a career. She studied art through online education from the Academy Art University at San Francisco, through workshops with Charles Miano and Jesus Villareal, the well-known contemporary artist. She also studied at the Chiaoscuro School of Art.

Art in its most captivating forms, connects the viewer with the beauty of God hidden in the subject/s of the painting. Dr. Lorenzo’s body of work encompasses her efforts to make pieces that call to the viewer with a serene beauty.  Her themes are primarily tropical, including pieces depicting coral reef scenes. She uses bright color harmonies to captivate the viewer, to draw them into the piece. 

Her other work focuses on bright expressive graphic art and dynamic pattern design for use in manufacturing.

Dr. Lorenzo considers it a privilege to produce artwork that may inspire others in her beloved community and beyond.
